The Yamazaki Distillery is the oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan. Suntory’s founder, Shinjiro Torii, started work on establishing a distillery here in 1923. Since then, the distillery has played a defining role in the history of Japanese whisky, producing a succession of iconic brands, including the internationally renowned Yamazaki Single Malt.
